Moving costs are comprised of the following:
The labor time starts when your crew arrives at the 1st location for your move. You will be asked to initial this start time.
The labor time stops when the crew completes the move at the final location. You will be asked to initial this stop time.
You do NOT have to meet a labor minimum. Labor is billed in 15 minute increments.
The labor rate is based on your crew size and move date.
Travel is a standard charge on every move. Some companies call it “Service”.
Travel is 1 hour unless your locations fall outside the radius. It represents the “bookends” of your move.
Travel is the time the crew spends traveling to your first location from Jay’s Moving plus the time the crew travels from your Last Location to Jay’s Moving .
This is not to be confused with driving between your old and new location. That driving time occurs when the labor clock is running.
There is a per truck fuel charge on every move.
Materials are items such as boxes, stretch wrap and tape.
If you are storing items for a time, you may rent our heavy duty moving pads so you save labor time and materials on the second portion of your move.
